Raymond Mak aka Rase first discovered dance music at the age of 17. Dance music has never been a mainstream in Hong Kong, Even record store is not easy to be found in town. Thanks god there is internet! This new found love for dance music had exploded since his first dance party held in an exhibition centre in Hong Kong not long after, and Paul van Dyk was the headliner. He would never forget that the emotion can express throught Trance, like magic to make people dance. Think one day he can be the Dj too. PVD played the trance anthem like Another way, Tell me why, For an angel, and Born Slippy (pvd remix) are still deep in the core of his mind till today. Lucky enough that was a gold rush of dance party in Hong Kong back to the day of 2001-2004. Rase had an opportunity to see a list of international top Djs in a South East Asia island, the visitors Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Sasha, Carl cox, Paul Oakenfold, J00F and many more were on the list. After regularly been to these parties, the inspiration of Djing has pushed Rase deeper into dance music sense. Then Rase couldn't stop to play with the turntables and mixer, with the sound of anywhere draw from progressive, techno, house. It wasn't long before he realised his true sound lay in Trance.

In the summer of 2003, Rase decided to move to Melbourne Australia, to complete his University degree. After exploded the dance music sense in Melbourne. He couldn’t be more excited about it from the days of attending most dance events like Together, Two Tribes, Godskitchen, Slinky, Kryal castle and the recent Armin Only, to watch and learn from the huge range of international and local djs and keep pushing himself hard to the limit on Djing. 

After 10 years of evolution, Rase describes his own sounds as dark tech trance blend with a heavy weigh of melodic with an uplifting rhythm. Rase believes that Trance is an universal language that can share the love and bring smiles on people faces just like him :)
